Chaskañawi Group

The “Chascañawi” association has been part of the Pro-Mujer family for more than 10 years. This association is based in the Senkata neighborhood, which is located along 6 de Marzo Avenue in the city of El Alto. There are currently 14 women who are members of the group, and they have proven themselves to be very responsible when it comes to repaying their loans and in their internal activities.

The association includes various businesses, but the majority of the women are merchants. Some, for example, sell socks, some earn a living making and selling cookies and pastries, while others sell vegetables, potatoes, and chuños (freeze-dried potatoes—a specialty of the Andes). The members of the Chascañawi association need loans so they can purchase more products and thus increase their sales.

La asociación denominada “Chascañawi” pertenece a la familia de Pro-Mujer hace más de diez años. La mencionada asociación pertenece al centro focal Senkata, ubicada en la carretera 6 de marzo – ciudad de El Alto, a la fecha cuenta con catorce miembros que han demostrado ser un grupo de muejres, muy organizado en cuanto a sus cuotas de crédito y actividades internas.
Existen diferentes negocios dentro la asociación podemos decir que son comerciantes en su mayoría, por ejemplo venden medias, otras se dedican a la elaboración y venta de galletas y masitas, también venden verduras, papa y chuño. La asociación Chascañawi precisa créditos para comprar mayor cantidad de productos, para poder ampliar sus ventas.
