Julia

Julia is 33 years old and is a single mother with two children: Junior, 10 and Erlin, 8. She lives with her children in the home that she owns. She works making clothes in her small tailoring shop and has done so for the past 13 years. She has always liked designing and making clothes and that’s why she has this job. She really likes it because she decides her schedule and she challenges herself to finish the clothing [her customers] order. Making clothes is a job that requires a lot of effort in order to have a good finished product. The difficult part of her job are the many times Julia has cut or jabbed herself with needles and pins. But she has learned how to deal with this and knows it is just one of the risks of being a seamstress. This is Julia’s eighth loan with Microfinanzas PRISMA and in her 4 years with MFP she has always been very responsible and on-time with her payments. With this loan money she will buy more material and fabric to make more clothing and increase her earnings.

Julia tiene 33 años, es madre soltera de dos hijos; Junior de 10 y Erlin de 8, con quienes vive en su casa propia. Se dedica a la elaboración de prendas en su pequeña sastrería desde hace 13 años, a ella siempre le ha gustado el oficio de corte y confección y es por eso que se dedica a realizar este trabajo en el cual se siente muy bien, ya que decide sus horarios y se exige ella misma para acabar las prendas que le solicitan. La confección de ropa es un trabajo que requiere de mucho esfuerzo para un buen acabado final, muchas veces Julia se llega a cortar o a punzar con las agujas y alfileres, siendo esto las dificultades en su trabajo, a lo que ella ya se acostumbró sabiéndolo sobrellevar pensando que son los gajes del oficio. Julia se encuentra en su octavo préstamo con Microfinanzas PRISMA, demostrando en este tiempo, casi 4 años con MFP, ser muy responsable y puntual en los pagos. Con el dinero que solicita comprará mayor cantidad de tela para confeccionar más prendas y así aumentar sus ingresos.
