María is a single mother who lives with one of her three daughters and her two grandchildren. She owns the home she lives in. For the past two years, she has sold food and drinks. Her kindness and good service have made her into a businesswoman. She started her business because she separated from the father of her daughters. This bad experience motivated her to improve her situation: so this became a way not to suffer but rather to grow. María sells daily from 8 A.M. to noon; she enjoys her work because she feels useful and independent. Because she is always looking for new things to do, she is learning to prepare new dishes. The hardest part of separating was raising her daughters alone. She had to pay for their tuition as well as the household expenses, but the love she has for them allowed her to face any and all situations and now she is reaping the fruits of her efforts as her business is doing well. This is her first loan with MFP. She will use the loan to build a kiosk where she can be more comfortable and take better care of her customers. Her goal is to own a restaurant with all the implements needed.
