Maimouna Diarra

Maimouna Diarra is 22 years old, engaged to be married, and lives in the home of her parents in the Darsalam I district of Koutiala prefecture (third administrative region of the Republic of Mali). Very early on, she abandoned school to devote herself to income-generating work, notably buying and selling beauty products and various other goods. She learned commerce from her mom when she was young. And now, making it on her own for two years, she is very well known in the cosmetics sector.

To expand her work and diversify her business, she decided to join the micro-finance institution Soro Yiriwaso two months ago. She is on her first individual loan and plans to buy a sizable stock of beauty products with it. She gets her supplies from wholesale merchants of Koutiala and often in Bamako (capital of Mali). From her display at the Koko marketplace in the city of Koutiala, she makes her sales to customers composed essentially of women, cash or credit accepted.

Maimouna intends to realize a monthly profit of 30,000 francs CFA that she envisions using to repay the loan interest and to prepare for her marriage. With these prospects, she envisions expanding enough to open a shop at the Koko marketplace.

Maimouna Diarra a 22 ans, est fiancée, et vit chez ses parents dans le quartier Darsalam I de la préfecture de koutiala(troisième région administrative de la république du Mali)
Très tôt elle abandonna les études pour se consacrer aux activités génératrices de revenus notamment l’achat –vente des produits de beauté et diverses autres marchandises. Elle a appris le commerce auprès de sa maman dépuis son jeune âge. Actuellement elle évolue à son propre compte y’a de cela 2 ans. Elle est trés bien connue dans le secteur de la cosmétique. Pour augmenter la taille de son activité et diversifier ses activités, elle décida d’intégrer l‘institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso il ya deux mois. Elle est à son 1er prêt en individuel.
Maimouna compte acheter, un important stock des produits de beauté avec ce prêt.. Elle s’approvisionne auprès des commerçants grossistes de Koutiala et souvent à Bamako(capitale du Mali). Elle vend sur son étale sis au centre du marché de Koko dans la ville de koutiala à une clientèle constituée essentiellement de femmes , au comptant et à crédit.
Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice mensuel de 30.000FCFA qu’elle envisage utiliser pour rembourser les intérêts du prêt et préparer son mariage.
Dans ses perspectives, elle envisage d’agrandir son activité jusqu’à ouvrir une boutique au marché de koko.
