The communal bank “Santa Bárbara” is represented by Ruly and made up of 20 members. Of these members, five are men and 15 are women. All the members of this communal bank are beginning their second loan cycle and have shown solidarity, responsibility, honesty, and care in their work. The majority of the members sell products such as meat, bread, groceries in neighborhood stores, clothes, and cosmetics. Others are bread makers, serve as domestic service, work in public transportation and work as mechanics. As they demonstrated in the last loan cycle, they are very hard-working and entrepreneurial, and therefore, they are not too concerned that the competition will prevent them from pulling out ahead. Their loans will be used to improve their quality of life, increase the quantity of their products, repair their work tools, and increase capital. The members have work experience with communal banks, and thus they know about using teamwork to succeed.
