Dora Danso

Dora works hard to help her husband provide for the family. Her husband is a farmer who cultivates food crops and all kinds of vegetables. Dora sells foodstuffs. She sells plantains, cassava, yams, etc on a table top by the roadside. Dora buys her goods from Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana and sometimes from the farmers in the surrounding villages. She has been in business for four years. She also distributes cassava and plantains to local ‘chop bar’ (restaurant) operators. She wants a loan to buy the foodstuffs in bulk so that she can cut down on costs, as in frequent trips to procure the goods, and also to maximize profit.
