Sadia Rana Yameen Group

"My name is Sadia and I married to a man whose name is Rana Yameen, a salesman by profession. He deals with wholesalers and buys different items, specifically bakery items, and sells them to different shops. He has 15 years of experience in this business. I am the mother of 2 sons who are not of school-going age. I keep myself busy preparing embroidered dresses. I take orders from my neighbors and charge them $3 per dress. I have successfully repaid my first loan from Asasah (a micro-finance institute in Pakistan). Now I’m applying again for a loan to buy bakery items (bread, butter) for my husband so that he will be able to sell them and earn a good income."

Sadia is the leader for another lady in her group. Khalida baji wants a loan to repair her working vehicle called “Shahzore”.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.




About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
