Mrs. Florecita Dulanas is 62 years old, a widow and a resident of Southwestern Poblacion, Calamba, Misamis Occidenta. She has been a member in good standing of the cooperative since August 2001. She raised her three children all by herself. Thankfully, all her children had stable jobs. Since it is hard for her to survive without a stable job on her own, she decided to engage herself in piggery business, a business that she initially considered only a hobby. She started her business with just one sow. To her surprise, she was able to manage it well and use it to finance her daily needs with the help of Paglaum Cooperative. She was able to avail herself of different types of loans, and paid them religiously. Now, she is applying for a loan of Php 25,000 to finance the construction of her pig cages and purchase 10 bags of animal feed. All she wants for now is to sustain her business and have a healthy life ahead.
