"My name is Begum and I am a 43-year-old married lady. I have resided in a city named Vehari, Pakistan for the past 50 years. I am married to a man whose name is M. Yaseen and he is involved in a clothes-selling business, having experience of 15 years. I have one daughter who is settled in her own house. I help my husband in his clothes-selling business. He sells clothes in clothing markets and I sell clothes in my community. Mostly people in my community give me orders for clothes to buy. I have successfully repaid my two loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now I am applying again for a loan to buy more clothes to expand our business.

I am a group leader of some more women of my locality. Salma Baji wants a loan to buy clothes for her clothes-selling business. Fatima Baji wants a loan to buy goats for her animal-selling business. Sharifan Baji wants a loan to buy a donkey cart for her loading business. Yasmeen Baji wants a loan to buy groceries for her grocery shop."

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
