Kosar M. Zubair Group

Kosar baji is the mother of five children: three sons and two daughters. Her eldest son is a daily wage laborer, but he knows how to drive an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle), and has three years experience driving one. The other children are getting an education from a school located near their house.

Kosar baji stays at home and sews clothes, taking orders from her neighbors and relatives. She charges $2 per dress. She does this work to share the financial burden with her husband as his salary is insufficient to fulfill the needs of the family.

Kosar baji is applying for a loan to buy an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle) for her son.

Kosar baji is a group leader of some women in her locality. Bashiran baji wants a loan to buy ladies shoes for her shoe selling business. Yasmeen baji and Bilquis baji each want a loan to buy groceries for their grocery shops. Umm-e-Kalsoom baji wants a loan to buy a television and a refrigerator on installments for her electronic items shop. Naziran baji wants a loan to buy fertilizer to resell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in their own business. The members mutually guarantee each other's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
