Journal update

Entrepreneur: Neit Ut
Location: Phnom Penh City, Cambodia

After borrowing the money from CREDIT MFI for a bout 10 months ago, Neit Ut, who is a hard-working, responsible and diligent husband, still stays in the same business with his wife selling gasoline, cigarette, and other household’s stuffs along the main road of Phnom Penh city.

When we first reached his out-door stand, Neit Ut came out from the stand showing his warm smile to welcome us and invited us to sit down on cleaned chairs. Mr. Neit ut continued stating about the progress of his business. His business is processing better and better every day as now he is able to repay the loan and can purchase more products to meet his growing customer demands. He said, the majority of his clients are passengers who travel passing through this main road. Therefore, what he concerns the most is now the price of goods like gasoline and grocery products at the market are raising up every day, so it’s hard for him to stay at the same price as he used to sell to his clients. Although he now can earns about $5 each day of profit but he still not fully satisfy with this profit because as we know now everything is expensive. In the future, he expects another loan to keep expanding his business, so that he will be able to provide his family a better quality of life.
