Born January 25, 1942, Pa Amabo Joseph is married to Ma Helen Ngum. They have been blessed with eight children, two of whom are still below the age of fifteen. Amabo and his family live in a seven-room apartment in the Ntaghem neighborhood of Nkwen.

Due to circumstances beyond his control, Amabo didn’t have the privilege of basic education or an apprenticeship to learn a trade, because his parents where poor. Even worse, both his parents died when he was still very young because they did not have money to pay for medication. Amabo joined GHAPE on October 8, 2003. Since then, he has borrowed and successfully repaid four loans and the profits from these loans have helped him to sustain his life and that of his family, as well as to provide for the school needs of his younger children.

With this loan of 500000frs, he plans to buy piglets, pig feed, wood, and fish to resell from his home so as to reduce the distance that his neighbors must trek to obtain these items. He will use part of the profit generated by this loan to continue to educate his children and part will be reinvested in his business. He thinks his business will succeed because he has been doing this business for a long period of time.

Amabo will start repaying the loan in the fourth month after he receives the loan.
