Mrs.Doussouba Doumbia is 34 years old and lives in a monogamistic family with her husband and two children in the Pelengana district of North Segou (the fourth administrative region in the Republic of Mali). Although she studied to be a secretary, she was also active in businesses that earned income. She was taught by her mother, who was a well known business woman in the city of Segou. She was, therefore, well educated in both school and business activities (sales of suits and assorted articles).

These studies ended four years ago and since then she has specialized only in buying and selling suits, notably made of bazins (damask cloth). She is solicited for weddings, baptisms and popular holidays during the year.
In order to satisfy her ever increasing clientele, she has joined the Soro Yiriwaso microfinance bank. This is her first individual loan request for the amount of 375,000 FCFA.

She plans to use the loan to buy 2 pieces of high quality bazins cloth. She will purchase the material from suppliers in Burkina Faso in the Republic of Senegal and in Bamako, capital of the Republic of Mali. Mrs.Doussouba Doumbia sells for cash or credit and her clientele are both men and women. With this loan the hopes to earn an income of 100,000 FCFA, which would be used to meet family expenses and to prepare for certain social events.

PREMIER ET DERNIER FEED BACK

Entrepreneur: Doussouba Doumbia
Location: Segou, Mali
