Imelda

Imelda is 37 years old and lives with her common-law husband and her 6 year old daughter. She was always characterized by the hard agricultural work she performed with her parents, whom she helped in their jobs and in the home. For the past year, she has collaborated with her husband in doing agricultural work. They have small parcels of land in their possession where they plant potatoes, peas and other agricultural products. Agriculture is an economic activity that gives Imelda great satisfaction because her crops are quickly sold to large retailers. They buy a variety of her products to sell at wholesale markets. However, a difficulty [she faces] is the high cost of fertilizer. This is her first loan with MFP, and she will continue to work hard in order to pay it in a timely manner. With the money from this loan, she will buy seeds and fertilizer to start planting a new crop for next year.

Imelda tiene 37 años, está conviviendo con su pareja y su hija de 6 años. Siempre la caracterizó el arduo trabajo de agricultora que realizaba junto a sus padres a quienes apoyaba en su trabajo y en su hogar, desde hace un año colabora con su pareja en las actividades agrícolas, las que realizan en sus pequeñas parcelas de terrenos que poseen, donde siembran papas, alverjas y otros productos agrícolas. Para Imelda la agricultura es una actividad económica que le viene dando grandes satisfacciones, ya que sus cosechas son vendidas rápidamente a grandes comerciantes, los que comprar variedades de sus productos agrícolas para luego venderlos en los mercados mayoristas. Sin embargo, la dificultad son los costosos precios de los abonos. Este es su primer préstamo con MFP, y para pagarlo con puntualidad seguirá trabajando duramente. Con el dinero que solicita comprará semilla y abonos para iniciar una nueva siembra que cosechara el próximo año.
