Sábado Samuel Massingue

Sábado Samuel Massingue was born in the province of Gaza. He is 39 years old and the father of 8 children, who are all in school. Besides his children, he also supports his paternal grandparents by sending them food supplies.

Sábado studied until the 4th grade and then his parents made him stop because their zone only went until the 4th grade and to continue meant to leave the zone. So they prohibited him from continuing so that he would stay and take care of the cattle.

Sábado moved from Gaza province to Maputo when he got very sick and went to stay at a sister’s house. When he got better he was able to get a job with Mozambique railways, which ended when the company decided to reduce the number of employees. He was given severance pay and with that money he purchased a plot of land where he built his house and a small business raising chickens and selling basic goods. With this loan he intends to increase his stock. Sábado is able to earn a monthly income of 15,000.00 MT, but is still not able to save any money.

This is Sábado’s third loan through Hluvuku and his first with Kiva. His dream is to increase his business so that in the future he can open another establishment in a neighboring zone.

Sábado Samuel Massingue é natural da província de Gaza, tem 39 anos de idade, pai de 8 filhos onde todos vão a escola. Para alem dos filhos sustenta os seus avos paternos enviando géneros alimentícios.

Sábado estudou até 4ªclasse e não continuou por que os pais não deixaram dado que na zona o nível ia até 4ª e para continuar era preciso sair da zona assim proibiram para que ficasse a cuidar do gado.

Mudou se da província de Gaza para Maputo quando ficou muito doente onde ficou numa casa da irmã e quando ficou bem conseguiu emprego nos caminhos de ferros de Moçambique, emprego que veio a terminar quando a empresa decidiu reduzir o pessoal e ele foi abrangido e pago indemnização e com este valor comprou talhão e construiu a sua casa e uma parte iniciou negócios, sendo um de criação de frangos e outro de venda de produtos da primeira necessidade este que com o empréstimo pretende aumentar a sua mercadoria. Consegue um rendimento mensal de 15000,00mt e ainda não faz poupanças.

Sábado solicita empréstimo pela terceira vez na Hluvuku e primeira no Kiva, onde sonha ampliar o seu negocio e futuramente pretende abrir outro estabelecimento numa zona vizinha.
