Domingos Xavier Tembe

Domingos Xavier Tembe is a native of Matola, one of the districts of the province of Maputo. He is 75 years old, married, and the father of 25 children. He has 37 grandchildren.

Domingos studied until the 4th grade and stopped when he was chosen to take a bible course through the church which he had to interrupt when his mother became gravely ill. From there he started working on the railways of Mozambique as a second official. Later he went to Portugal as a soccer player for three years then returned to Mozambique and continued to work the railways. He retired in 1990.

Domingos, after retiring, began a business that consisted in the purchase and sale of staple products, an activity that he continues to develop today. He has a commercial establishment and works 12 hours per day with the help of one of his children. He is able to earn a liquid monthly income of 7,000MT. He does not have any savings.

Domingos Xavier Tembe é natural da Matola um dos distritos da província do Maputo, tem 75 anos de idade, é casado e pai de 25 filhos, com 37 netos.

Domingos estudou até 4ªclasse e parou quando foi escolhido para ir tirar o curso Bíblico pela igreja qual teve que interromper quando a sua mãe ficou gravemente doente, dai que começou a trabalhar nos Caminhos de Ferros de Moçambique com segundo oficial e mais tarde foi a Portugal como jogador tendo permanecido por três anos e volta a Moçambique e continuou a trabalhar nos C.F.M tendo reformado em 1990.

Domingos depois da reforma iniciou um negócio que consistiu na compra e venda de produtos da primeira necessidade actividade que desenvolve até data hoje. Com um estabelecimento comercial e trabalha durante 12 horas por dia e conta com ajuda de um dos seus filhos. Desta consegue um rendimento mensal líquido de 7000,00mt. Não faz poupança.
