Mrs. Samnang Chum is a group leader of five who are all living in Kaeng Ta Sok village in Kampong Chhnang province. Mrs. Samnang Chum is a farmer who cultivates both rice and vegetable. In vegetable farming, she faces a small problem because she does not have enough money to buy bean seeds to cultivate in the field. In order to deal with this problem, Mrs. Samnang Chum decided to ask for a loan to buy more bean seeds. Her husband, Mr. Real Sophal, helps her in the farming. Mrs. Samnang Chum is 44 years old and the mother of five children one of whom is working in a garment factory while the others are attending the local school.

All the members in this village bank loan have end-of-term loans so they are not required to pay any principal on the loan until the very end of the loan term. The end-of-term (EoT) loan is AMK's main product because it is the most beneficial to Cambodia's poor. It allows them to repay portions of the principal whenever they are financially able to. Most clients start to make payments many months before the end of the loan term. Almost all of AMK's clients make their payments on time.
