Mise à jour de Essohanam PAKA

Entrepreneur: Essohanam Paka
Location: Lavie, Togo

Greetings from Essohanam Paka in Lavie, Togo! I had the pleasure of meeting Essohanam at her fruit and vegetable stand on the side of Lavie’s main thoroughfare, just a stone’s throw from FECECAV’s Lavie branch office, on July 17, 2009. Since receiving her loan, Essohanam has purchased green beans, corn, and yams (which she sells to merchants who will resell them in Lomé) for resale in Lavie.

In spite of the challenge posed by the variable prices of the goods she purchases for resale, with her loan at work, Essohanam has witnessed her business grow: both sales and profits are up.

In addition to repaying her loan, Essohanam has reinvested a portion of her profits in her business, and is saving up to construct a house that she can one day leave to her children, who are currently in school. Looking forward, she hopes that her business continues to grow, and that she will have access to the financing necessary to support this growth.
