Shakeela M.ramzan Group

Shakeela Baji is a 42 year old lady who resides in a shrine city named Pakpattan, Pakistan. She has been living in this city for the past 10 years.

Her husband's name is M.Ramzan, and he has a tea stall in the community. He has 6 years of experience in this business. Shakeela Baji is a mother of eight children: six daughters and two sons. Her first two daughters sew clothes and earn a profit. The others are enrolled in a local school in her neighborhood.

Shakeela baji also sews clothes and earns a profit. She uses her profits to pay her children's school fees. She successfully repaid her first loan from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is applying for a loan to buy materials (tea and sugar) for her husband’s tea stall.

She is a group leader of a few more women. Azra Bano Baji wants a loan to buy groceries for her grocery shop. Kosar Baji and Zainab Baji each want a loan to buy blankets to resell. Sakina Baji and Sheedan Baji each want a loan to buy chairs and mirrors for their salon. Munawar Baji wants a loan to buy clothes for her clothes selling business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
