Dib is a 31-year-old man who lives in Saida, southern Lebanon with his wife and their four children. He has been working as a carpenter and builder for twenty years.

Dib requested a loan of 1000 US dollars from Al Majmoua in order to purchase merchandise and wood for his business. This is his second cycle and he has always paid on schedule.

Dib makes home furniture, closets and bedrooms. He is special in his work because he has a good quality of work. His clients are his neighbors, friends, and others.

In the beginning, when he first started his business, he had difficulties finding someone to help him in his work, as well as a bad economic situation due to high prices. His father taught him the business when he was young because it has been a family business.

In the future, he plans to expand his business.

Dib has been working with Al Majmoua, Lebanese Association for Development for two years now. Dib has beenworking as a carpenter. His last loan is already finished. He used the capital from his last loan, which was raised by Kiva lenders such as you, and disbursed by Al Majmoua, for a variety of purposes. Some of the money helped to purchase merchandise for and some was used to purchase wood. Dib explained to us that his previous loans from Al Majmoua have allowed him to continually improve his work.
