Nazia M.usman Group

Nazia baji resides in Lahore, Pakistan. She owes a two room brick house and has been living in it for the past 22 years. Her husband, M.Usman, is a tailor by profession. She has two children: one son and one daughter. Both of her children are not of school age. Nazia baji sews clothes for a living and teaches the girls of her community how to sew clothes. She earns Pak Rupees 3,000 on a monthly basis. She shares her income with her husband because they both want to give their children a good education. Nazia baji is applying for a loan to buy a sewing machine for her husband so that he will be able to hire an employee and complete the large number of orders from his customers.

Nazia baji is a group leader of a few more members in her locality. Fozia daud baji is requesting a loan to buy cosmetics for her parlor. Suraiya baji is requesting a loan to buy washing powder for her laundry. Rubina baji is requesting a loan to buy material (cloth, colored thread and sketches) to make embroidered dresses for her boutique. Shahida parveen baji is requesting a loan to buy woods for her furniture making business. Shagufta baji is requesting a loan to buy seasonal fruits for her fruit selling business. Rukhsana baji is requesting a loan to buy shoes for her shoe selling business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee each others loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible for the entire repayment of the loan.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
