My name is Nazia and my husband's name is M. Safdar, who is a worker in a cotton factory. I have two kids: one son and one daughter. My daughter is in kindergarten and my son is not old enough to attend school. I work in the decorative embroidery business, a skill that I learned from my mother. After marriage, I began this work because my husband’s salary was insufficient to meet household expenses. For the past 10 years I have owned a boutique where I display my own garment collection. Most of the people come to my boutique to purchase clothes. It is now the month of occasions such as Eid and Christmas and the demand for new clothes is high. I am requesting a loan to purchase more materials to make more embroidered dresses to display in my boutique.

I have some other women in my group. Bashiran baji is requesting a loan to buy clothes for her clothing business. Fahmida baji is requesting a loan to buy a sewing machine. Mukhtar baji is requesting a loan to buy washing powder for her laundry. Imtiaz baji is requesting a loan to buy bricks for her brick selling business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee each others loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible for the repayment of the entire loan.

Under this arrangement, each member of the group supports one another and is responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults. Learn more
