Loma Linda Group

The Banco de Emprendimiento Loma Linda (“Loma Linda Undertakings Bank”) consists of members who live in the Loma Linda neighborhood of the city of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. They are currently in their third loan cycle and have 15 members. The bank was founded on December 5, 2007 by a group of women which included the president, Mrs. Lidia Montero Rojas, the treasurer Mrs. Angelica Lima Mejia, and the secretary Ms. Adriana Apiranzay Saavedra. The women in the group work selling cosmetics, food, groceries and bread, and most of them have general stores. They meet on Fridays at 3:00pm at the Emprender South Agency. The women are happy to work with Emprender because they have learned to save money and are able to get together with their friends every two weeks. When the group was started, there were 12 people. Two of the members left for personal reasons, and then 5 more members joined, and the group until now has been fulfilled.

Mrs. Lidia Montero Rojas is the president of the group, and works making homemade bread. She has done this work for three years and works 8 hours a day. She has 3 children who are all still in school. She is a very responsible woman and is fulfilled in the group, and she is one of the founders and the leader of the group.

Mrs. Angelica Lima Mejia is the treasurer of the Banco de Emprendimiento. She has a grocery store in her home and sells clothing. She has 4 years of experience in this trade and works 6 days a week and 8 hours a day from her home. She is also very responsible and fulfilled in the group. She has her own home and has lived in the neighborhood for 4 years. She has three children who are studying at the university and the income she receives helps maintain her household.

Ms. Adriana Apiranzay is the secretary and has a small store in her home. She makes homemade bread and for the most part works from home. She rents her home and also studies at the university.

El Banco de Emprendimiento Loma Linda, está integrado por socias que viven en el barrio Loma Linda de la ciudad de Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Actualmente esta en su 3 er cilco de crédito y está compuesto por 15 personas, Se fundo el 05 de Diciembre del 2007, a iniciativa de un grupo de señoras,como presidenta tenemos a la señora Lidia Montero Rojas, la tesorera es la Sr Angelica Lima Mejia y la Secretaria es la Sra. Adriana Apiransay Saavedra; en el grupo hay señoras que se dedican a la venta de Cosmeticos, Comida, Abarrote, Panaderia, y la mayoría tiene su tienda general. Las reuniones se llevan acabo los dias viernes a horas 15:00 PM en la Agencia Sur de Emprender. Las señoras estan conformes de trabajar con Emprender por que aprendieron a ahorrar y a compartir con sus amigas cada 14 dias. El grupo en sus inicios Se conformo con con 12 personas de las cuales 2 se retiraron por motivos personales e ingresaron otras 5 nuevas y el grupo hasta la fecha ha sido muy cumplido.

La Sra Lidia Montero Rojas es la Presidenta del grupo, se dedica a la elaboracion de pan casero, lleva 3 años con esa actividad; le dedica 8 horas al dia a su trabajo, tiene 3 hijos pequeños que todavia estan en la escuela. La Sra es muy responsable y cumplida en el grupo, ella es unas de las fundadoras y lider del grupo.

La Sra Angelica Lima Mejia es la Tesorera del B.E. Tiene una tienda de abarrotes en su domicilio y vende Ropa, tiene 4 años de antiguedad en este rubro, trabaja 6 dias a la semana y 8 horas al dia ,su trabajo es realizado en su domicilio. La Sra es muy responsable y cumplida en el grupo. Tiene domicilio propio y vive hace 4 años en la zona, tiene 3 hijas que ya estan en la universidad y con los ingresos que percibe ayuda en sustento del hogar.

La Sta. Adriana Apiranzay es la Secretaria, tiene una pequeña tienda en su domicilio y tambien se dedica a la elaboracion de pan casero su trabajo es mayormente en su domicilio, vive en alquiler y tambien se dedica a estudiar en la universidad.
