Naseem baji is a 33-year-old woman who lives in Shah Rukn, Pakistan. She has been living in this city for the past 22 years. Her husband, M. Ramzan, has a busiiness selling animals. He has been in this business for the past 10 years. She is the mother of four children: two sons and two daughters. All of her children are enrolled in a local school in her neighborhood.

Naseem baji works in a cotton factory where she packs cotton in sacks and earns $2 each day. She successfully repaid her first loan from Asasah, a microfinance institute in Pakistan. Now she is applying for a loan to buy a buffalo to resell for a profit.

She is the leader of a 5-person loan group. Zareena baji wants a loan to buy animals (goats and sheep) for her animal business. Sumera baji wants a loan to buy a buffalo for her milk business. Shamim baji wants a loan to buy tools, mirrors, and chairs for her barber saloon. Fatima Mai baji wants a loan to buy an ox cart to fertilize her land.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

Note: "Baji," which means "older sister," is a term of respect for women in Pakistan.
