Elizabeth is a member of the Nobleza (“Nobility”) Village Bank. She is 38 years old and is the single mother of one child. She runs an Internet café from her home, and also owns a car that her cousin uses as a taxi in Lima. She plans to have the car brought to Ayacucho soon so that she can rent it to another relative to use as a taxi.
Elizabeth is requesting a loan of 1400 soles. Her father was recently diagnosed with cancer, so she plans to use the money to bring her father to Ayacucho to care for him and pay for his medical expenses. She will repay the loan with her income from the Internet café and her taxi.
