Update in August, 2009

Entrepreneur: Soeun Sam
Location: Muk Kampoul District, Cambodia

Mr. Soeun Sam has been a secondary school teacher for over 27 years. His wife sells cakes, candy and fruits in the village school. In December 2008, he applied for a loan of $500 in order to purchase wood materials for repairing the wall in his house.

Before the loan, the wall of Soeun’s house broke; it was difficult for his family members to live. Especially when the rainy season came, it flowed into the house which caused the house become wet.

Now the wall of the house has been repaired. So, the above problem has been solved. Soeun’s family members are very to live in their comfortable house. Soeun said that “If he did not receive money from the loan, he would not have been repaired the wall of his house like this.”

On the other hand, Soeun found no problem for paying his monthly installments and he has paid off his loan as well.
