Kagere Mastula is the chairperson of Kiri Ewala loan group in Katwe, Uganda. She is a very hard-working lady who has a business selling mattresses and beds, both metallic and wooden, to her customers from her rented space in Katwe. She has had the business for over 25 years. Ever since she joined her lending group in 1978, the loans have pulled her through, and this time around, she wants to buy more mattresses from the factory for sale.
Mastula is a single mother of 4 children who are all in school. She is also the caretaker for her late sister's child. Her lending group is so good that she says she has no plan of ever deserting it.
