Nisaran Mahdi Hassan Group

Nisaran baji is a wife of Mahdi Hassan and resides in a city named Borewala in Pakistan. She has been living in this city for the past twelve years. She is the mother of five children: three sons and two daughters. All of her children are enrolled in a local school in her neighborhood. Nasiran baji’s husband works as a delivery man and delivers different items (fruits and vegetables) from one place to another on his donkey cart. Nasiran baji herself has a milk selling business. She has been selling milk for the past five years. She gets up early in the morning and gets milk from her buffalo. She transfers the milk on milk pots and sells at different milk shops. She charges $1.00 to $2.00 per kg of milk. She successfully repaid her two previous loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is applying for a loan to buy another buffalo to expand her milk business.

She is joined in her loan group by a few more members. Shamim akhtar baji wants a loan to buy utensils to resell. Khoushfan baji wants a loan to repair her auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle). Rubina baji and Ghulam Kubra baji each want a loan to buy groceries for her grocery shop.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
