Arceli has a small poultry business in her humble community of Barangay Ballacong Ilagan, Isabela, where most of the settlers are engaged primarily in agricultural businesses. She is married and has two children. Arceli loves her family very much and she is motivated to work hard for them.
She raises commercial chickens and sells them when they reach 40-45 days, and she earns PHP100 - PHP120 per kilo. She makes sure that she does not run out of stocks by buying some chicks even when there is still inventory of chickens ready for sale. The members of the family take part in managing the business.
Arceli is asking for a loan of PHP5,000 in order to increase her income because at the moment, her earnings are limited due to lack of capital. Increased income will mean additional resources to support the basic needs of her family and her children’s education. Arceli further shared that the education of her children will bring them security in the future.
