Zumra Bajrić

Zumra was born in 1968 and she lives in a suburb of Bratonac in Bosnia. She is a widow with two young children, both of whom attend school. While she receives some income from her late husband`s pension, she largely supports her family by growing vegetables in a field and in a greenhouse. She sells the vegetables to her neighbors, and also at the local market.

Zumra requests a loan of 1,200KM from Women for Women, International to purchase seeds and farming equipment for her vegetable business. She hopes that the additional income she receives from growing more vegetables will help her to provide a better life for her children. At this point, she is simply meeting her family`s most basic needs.
