Sonia is 43 years old, lives with her husband, had 4 children, and now they live with one of them. Her parents where farmers, and now that she has her husband she also farms. Mostly they dedicate themselves to cultivating peas. First they plant potatoes and fertilize well that land, after which on that same small plot of land they plant peas in large quantities, with the aim to make the most of the fertilizer of their small farm. Plating peas is more profitable for them because it’s a smaller investment, and for that reason they like plating that crop. What is most difficult is purchasing fertilizer, because they go with a fixed amount of money and it is not enough. This is Sonia’s 7th loan with MFP, and she has been punctual with her payments. With this loan she will buy 8 sacks of “temex” a product that will help counteract the potato pest, which costs 245 PEN per sack. With the rest of the money, she will also buy pesticides for their pea leaves, which will cost 1,200.00 PEN.

Sonia tiene 43 años, es conviviente con su esposo, tuvo cuatro hijos, de los cuales ahora viven con uno de ellos. Es de padres agricultores, ahora que tiene su esposo también realiza la misma actividad, se dedican a sembrar arvejas en mayor cantidad. Primero siembra papas y abona bien esas tierras, en seguida, en esa misma chacra siembra en grandes cantidades de arvejas, con la finalidad de aprovechar el abonado de la chacra. Sembrar arvejas le es más rentable, porque nos dice que es menos la inversión, por ello le gusta sembrar ese producto, lo más dificultoso es el alza de los fertilizantes, porque van con una determinada cantidad de dinero y no les alcanza. Este es préstamo Nº 7 con MFP, tiempo en el cual ha sido puntual en sus pagos. Con el dinero comprará 8 sacos de “temex” producto que sirva para contrarrestar la gusanera de la papa, producto que cuesta cada uno S/.245, con el resto del dinero, comprará también pesticidas para las hojas de sus arvejas, lo que le costará S/.1,200.00, solo en pesticidas.
