Hilda

Hilda, a member of the Poder Community Bank, lives with her partner, is 26 years old, and has one son. Hilda has a mototaxi that she rents. In addition, she has land in the Ayacuchan Jungle, where she grows coffee and cocoa.

Hilda used her loan of 2000 soles for her business selling vegetables in the Ayacuchan jungle. With her loan, she was able to buy much more in terms of products to sell. Business has been going well and she has had no trouble making her payments. The loan has helped to augment her business selling vegetables by expanding the variety that she offers. Her dream is to have her own home. Hilda’s favorite parts about working with FINCA are the educational business classes and community “charlas” (discussions) they offer.
