The four women of the Benkadi group of Sodia association have an average age of 40 and, on average, 4 children. They live in big extended traditional families in the village of N’tonaso in the prefecture of Koutiala (3rd administrative region of Mali).

United essentially by bonds of family, they have various businesses: from making soap to doing dyeing, to food service and selling cosmetics. It was in their search for additional financial resources that they decided to join the loan program of Soro Yiriwaso 5 years ago. After 9 solidarity loans, all reimbursed without difficulty, the members of this group are on their 10th loan.

This loan will be used to buy 100 kg of beans, 20 liters of cooking oil, and other business items (dyes, potash, etc.) in the big market of Koutiala, from merchants who sell those goods.

Their merchandise is sold in the market, out of their homes, or door-to-door to a richly varied clientele. They are counting on making an average profit of 100,000 F CFA per loan cycle which will be used to expand their businesses.
