Married and mother of five children, Mrs. Abiba specializes in the preparation of pulp that she has been selling for one year, after having been the beneficiary of her first loan from HELP Africa.

She sells the pulp each morning and night, along with beans, millet, etc.

Preparation is composed of three ingredients:
• Millet-based pulp
• Sorghum
• Maize

Mrs. Abiba is very limited by her current channels, despite the demand for her product. Her first loan was $75. Her pulp-making business is called “Akassa,” because students buy it during their breaks. It’s a pulp made of sorghum or of millet that is very good for children in school who do not have a way to buy anything more expensive to eat.

With the loan money, she can establish a monthly stock of the afore mentioned necessary ingredients. She will buy sugar, sorghum, millet, etc.

Mrs. Abiba is a member of the HELP Africa solidarity group “Godwin”, which collectively has applied for a loan of $300. Each member of the group will receive a part of this loan and will be responsible for helping their fellow group members if they are delinquent or default.
