Bushra Faqeer Hussain Group

Bushra baji is the wife of Faqeer Hussain and lives in a city named Riwind, Pakistan. She has been living in this city for the past 15 years. She is the mother of five children: two sons and three daughters. All of her children are enrolled in a local school in her neighborhood. Bushra baji’s husband has a shuttering business. Bushra baji herself has a clothes selling business and has been selling clothes for the past 10 years. She buys clothes from a famous market in the city of Lahore named “Shahalmi and Orega”, and sells in her own city. She successfully repaid her first loan from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is applying for a loan to buy more clothes for her clothes selling business.

She is joined in her loan group by a few more members. Haleema baji wants a loan to buy a buffalo for her milk selling business. Rehana baji wants a loan to buy wood to resell. Nasreen baji wants a loan to buy an embroidery machine to make embroidered dresses.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.




About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
