It has been disbursed to the Mujeres Solidarias group, consisting of Yoselin Santana, Odalisa Rodriguez, Francisca Jimenez, Johanny Lopez, Rina Felix, Oneida Paez, Sonia Ruiz, Sila Lorenzo, Fatima Mateo, Altagracia Alfonceca, Ana Taveras, Ercilia Zanchez, Angela Fria, Joselin Ramirez, Tomas Sosa by Esperanza International, a partner of HOPE International in Dominican Republic. We are excited to watch this business grow. Over the next 6 months, Esperanza International, a partner of HOPE International will be collecting repayments from this entrepreneur and posting progress updates on the Kiva website.

Hello from Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic! I would like to give you an update about the microloan you helped fund last year.

Yoselin and her women´s undergarment business did very well. She was able to make more money by buying more inventory and is now one step closer to her dream of owning her own house.

She is glad that with the extra money she is making, she will be able to send her 5 year old to school next year, along with her other 3 children.

Yoselin is now almost halfway done with finishing her high school degree. She hopes to set a good example for her children by showing them that education is important.
