Ibrahim is a 35 year old man. He lives in a small village near Saida in southern Lebanon with his parents and works as a fisherman. Ibrahim uses a unique system for catching his fish; every day he dives beneath the waters of the Mediterranean Sea to set a small metal cage with bait inside. Each afternoon, Ibrahim returns to reclaim his cage, hopefully full of fish. Ibrahim has asked for a loan of 1000 US dollars from Al Majmoua in order to replace his aging fishing tools. This is the first time that he has requested a loan.
