Protazio (Paul) Zziwa is 38 tears old and has been a member of the Kasenyanku Women’s Group in Mpigi for 6 years. Married with 16 children, 10 of whom are in school, he also takes care of four orphans belonging to his late relatives.

Paul has operated a retail shop in the Katende trading center for 5 years now, selling new clothes like gomesi for ladies, trousers, shirts, dresses and skirts. He sold this same apparel in daily markets in and around Mpigi until he solicited funds to open the shop. He is happy with his business and is now asking for a loan to purchase additional inventory. Paul hopes to one day have many branches of his shop.

Journal Entrepreneur: Kasenyanku Women's Group Location: Jjanya, Uganda Protazio Zziwa is one of the executive members of Kasenyanku group in Mpigi. He is a very hard working man having given birth to 16 children of which 11 are in school while the rest are still young. Protazio has a shop that is selling new clothes like gomesi for ladies, trousers for men and women, shirts, dresses and skirts. It is due to his hard work and determination that he was able to set up this shop having worked in daily markets with no store of his own to sell his goods from. He is grateful to his customers, business and Pearl Microfinance for without them, he would be badly off. He has asked for another loan to purchase additional inventory and his dream of having many shops with the clo thesstill prevails, all possible through loans.
