Ramzan baji, the wife of M. Arshad, lives in Chichawatni, Pakistan. She completed her education through the 8th standard grade. She owns a two-room brick house, where she has been living for the past 20 years.

Ramzan baji is the mother of three children: two sons and one daughter. Her eldest son is a tailor and has a shop where he sews clothes. Her younger son is in kindergarten. Her daughter is in the 3rd standard grade.

Ramzan baji’s husband drives a truck. He used this vehicle for hauling different things (fruits and vegetables). Ramzan baji is a housewife who prefers to do household work and take care of her family.

Ramzan baji successfully repaid her first loan from Asasah, a microfinance institute in Pakistan. Now she is applying for a loan to buy another sewing machine for her son.

She is joined in her loan group by three other members. Aziz baji wants a loan to buy groceries for her grocery shop. Rukhsana baji wants a loan to buy clothes for her clothing business. Rubina baji wants a loan to buy an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle).

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

Note: Baji, which means "older sister," is a term of respect for women in Pakistan.
