Hedy is a 23 year old widow with an 8 month old daughter. She is living with her mother who helps her with her business, a restaurant. She used to be a farmer but she gave it up because the seasons were not profitable enough. Since then, she has prepared food for people traveling over the Paucartambo bridge. Her mother helps her with the daily duties which include making breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They wake up at 4:00 a.m., go to bed at 11:00 p.m. and are very tired when their day ends. One of the biggest difficulties is the rise in cost of chicken because if they raised the menu prices, they would have no customers and would be left with the extra meals. Consequently, they only prepare 10 to 20 plates per day, earning back 50% of their investment. As a single woman, Hedy has to work in order to provide food and clothing to her daughter, and to offer her a prosperous future that includes the necessities for an education. With this loan, she thinks she will invest in glasses and new tables to provide more comfort for her customers.

Hedy, a sus 23 años ha quedado viuda, con una niña de 8 meses, ahora está viviendo con su madre, que le apoya en este negocio del restaurante. Años atrás se dedicaba a la agricultura, pero dejó porque hay temporadas donde no es rentable, desde entonces, abastece de comida a los transeúntes del puente llamando Paucartambo. Trabaja en sociedad con su madre, para de ese modo puedan aliviarse el trabajo de todo el día desde; el desayuno, almuerzo y cena, se tiene que levantar a las 4 de la mañana y dormir a las 11 de la noche, por lo que terminan el día, muy cansadas. Una de las mayores dificultades es el alza en el precio del pollo, ya que no pueden elevar el precio del menú, porque no tendría clientes y se quedarían con la comida preparada, por ello, se limitan a preparar de 10 a 20 platos, ganando casi, el 50% de su inversión. Al quedarse sola, tiene que trabajar para la alimentación y vestimenta de su hija, y para ofrecerle un futuro próspero, cuando tenga necesidades de educación. Tiene en mente, invertir en la compra de vidrios para sus mesas, asimismo comprar un par de mesas, para darles comodidad a sus clientes.
