Ameen baji is the wife of M.Ahmad and lives in an area named Riwind in the city Kasur, Pakistan. She has been living in this area for the last 10 years. She is the mother of five children: two sons and three daughters. Her elder daughter reads in 9th standard. The next to her is in 7th standard. Her younger daughter is in kindergarten. Both of her sons are in 3rd standard. Ameen baji's husband runs a grocery shop. Ameen baji is a housewife and also sews clothes of her neighbors. She successfully repaid her four loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is applying for a loan to buy more groceries for her husband's grocery shop.

She is joined in her loan group by a few more members. Bilquis baji wants a loan to repair an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle). Sharifan baji wants a loan to buy more clothes to resell. Noor baji also wants a loan to buy an auto-rickshaw.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
