Espigas De Oro Group

The association "Espigas de Oro" belongs to the same business family of Pro-Mujer. Many years ago they completed their third loan cycle. The association is located in the region of Los Andes in the city of El Alto. To date, the group consists of 18 members and they have shown themselves to be a well-organized group especially when dealing with their loan.

The members of the group are mostly married women with children, most of whom are school-aged. There are a few children that were sadly forced to leave school because their family lacked financial resources, and they end up helping the parents run the small businesses.

Many types of businesses are being run by the members of the group, such as: food sales, dairy sales, and clothing sales. But the most common business is the sale of potatoes. Lucia, for example, much like her other colleagues, she has been selling for a great long while alongside her father in the markets of Ceja (the central region of the city of El Alto). The association "Espigas de Oro" requires working capital to purchase products in greater quantities, with the aim of increasing their earnings to establish a better financial situation for their homes.

La asociación denominada “Espigas de Oro” pertenece a la familia de pro-mujer hace ya varios años cumpliendo su tercer ciclo de crédito, esta se encuentra en la zona de Los Andes, de la ciudad de El Alto a la fecha el grupo cuenta con 18 socias, que han demostrado ser un grupo organizado en cuanto a sus cuotas de crédito.
Dentro el grupo la mayoría son casadas y con hijos, casi todos en edad escolar, existiendo algunos casos que por falta de recursos lastimosamente sus hijos tuvieron que abandonar la escuela. Ya que estos deben ayudar a sus padres en sus pequeños negocios.
Existen diferentes negocios dentro la asociación como ser; la venta de comida, la venta de lácteos, ropa ligera, pero la actividad principal es la venta de papa, Lucia por ejemplo al igual que sus compañeras, se dedica a esta actividad hace mucho tiempo, vende este producto junto a su padre en el mercado de la Ceja (zona central de la ciudad de el Alto). La asociación Espigas de Oro necesita de capital para comprar productos en mayor cantidad, con la seguridad de ampliar sus ganancias para obtener estabilidad económica en sus hogares.
