Cheema Pervaiz Masih's Group

Cheema baji's husband has a government job and he also has a part-time work selling artificial jewelry sets in markets. He has been in the jewelry-selling business for the last 3 years. Cheema baji is a housewife and prefers to do household work and take care of her family. She has successfully repaid her two loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute in Pakistan). Now she is applying for a loan to buy more artificial jewelry sets for her husband's business.

She is joined in her loan group by several more members. Sarafeen baji wants a loan to buy a donkey cart for transporting loads. Zahida baji and Shahida baji each want a loan to buy groceries for their grocery shops. Fazilat baji wants a loan to buy a sewing machine. Bilquis baji wants a loan to buy a buffalo for her milk business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
