8 De Marzo Group

The association “8 de marzo” belongs to the focal center Villa Adela. For more than 9 years these women have stayed together over the years as a very organized and united group. All are married and have an average of 4 children of various ages, from baby to university age. They hope that their children will finish their studies as many of them, for lack of economic resources, didn’t finish high school.

There are diverse businesses within the association, selling clothing is one of them, selling in the markets of El Alto city; also some sells cosmetics in stands and as a street vendor; another activity in the association is the selling of Patacamaya (a locale near La Paz) cheese, where they make trips to this locale to stock up with a good quantity of cheese to then sell in the markets and festivals of the city.

The association 8 of March needs capital to buy more merchandise, and in this way improve their earnings, with the objective of begin able to save for their childrens’ education and be able to ensure the well-being of their children.

La asociación “ 8 de marzo” pertenece al centro focal de Villa Adela, hace mas de nueve años, estas mujeres has formado a lo largo de los años un grupo muy organizado y unido. Todas ella están casadas y tiene un promedio de 4 hijos, éstos de distintas edades, desde bebes hasta jóvenes universitarios. Tienen la esperanza que sus hijos culminen sus estudios ya que muchas de ellas por falta de recursos económicos no culminaron el bachillerato.
Existen diversas actividades dentro la asociación siendo la venta ropa una de ellas, la comercializan en los mercados de la ciudad de El Alto, también se dedican a la venta de cosméticos en puestos y también de manera ambulante, otra actividad entre la asociación es la venta de queso de Patacamaya (localidad de La Paz), es decir que realizan viajes a ésta localidad para abastecerse de una buena cantidad de queso para luego comercializarla en los mercados y ferias de la ciudad.
La asociación 8 de marzo necesita mayor capital para compara mayor mercadería, de esta manera mejorar sus ganancias, con el objetivo de poder ahorrar para la educación de sus hijos y poder aseguar en bienestar de sus hijos.
