This is Ibrahim S. Sillah. Ibrahim was born in Kabala 46 years ago. He is married to a business woman. Sillah has eight children – five are in secondary schools, two are in primary schools, and the youngest is not yet of school age. Ibrahim has been a business man in Kabala for the past 20 years now. He sells roasted meat, Ataya (a Chinese green tea), and also owns a shop where his wife sells tea and drinks.
This is the very first time Ibrahim is seeking a loan from SMT. He was a very successful business man in Kabala before rebels looted his shop, where he sold bags of cement and rice. His family supplied him with the initial capital necessary to start with the new meat and soft drink business. The business is growing, but at a very slow pace. He thus came to SMT to seek a loan of Le 3,500,000.00 to enable him to re-enter the business of selling cement and rice.
