Yasmeen Mushtaq Ahmad's Group

Yasmeen baji is a wife of Mushtaq Ahmad and lives in a small town named Bund Road in the city Lahore, Pakistan. She owns a two room brick house and has been living in it for the last 17 years. She is the mother of three children: two sons and one daughter. Her elder son is a driver by profession and has been for 4 years. He drives a 32-seater bus. Her younger son is a ticket checker. Her daughter is in the 11th standard grade. Yasmeen baji's husband drives a donkey cart. Yasmeen baji is a housewife and prefers to do household work and take care of her family. She is applying for a loan to repair a vehicle of her elder son.

She is joined in her loan group by a few more members. Rashida baji wants a loan to repair an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle). Asia baji wants a loan to buy chickens to resell. Nasreen baji wants a loan to buy a buffalo for her milk business. Sattar baji wants a loan to buy flower for her flower bouquet selling business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
