Njuambuh Margaret

Njuambuh Margaret is married to Alexander Kencholia and they have seven children, two of which are under the age of fifteen. She was born on June 5th, 1959; Margaret and her family live in a three-room house in the Nkwen neighborhood.

As the family's bread-winner, Njuambuh finds it difficult to care for the family single-handedly. She was also in a serious accident involving getting robbed by thieves. Faced with a low level of education, she could not secure a good job for herself and thus started making and selling craft-work, something she has now been doing for fifteen years. She supplies the community with craft articles such as dulls.

When she became a member of GHAPE, she was fortunate to acquire some techniques which have helped her improve her craft business. She has had previous loans which she has successfully repaid. Njumbuh will use this loan for such craft supplies as fibers, straw, loin cloth, paint and camwood. She will repay this loan in 18 months, with repayments beginning four months from disbursement.
