Margaret is married to Nde Peter Ngulang and is a mother of ten children, five of which are below the age of fifteen. With this heavy responsibility on her husband to provide for her children and those of her house cleaners, Margaret decided to become a GHAPE member in 2000 so she could obtain a loan and continue with her business, so as to raise money and assist her husband in paying school fees and providing food for her children.
Through GHAPE, Margaret was trained in business management, marketing techniques and credit discipline; since then she has shown commitment in investing and repaying her loans.
With this loan, Margaret plans to construct a fence for her pigs, buy piglets, pay for the cleaning and hoeing of her farm, and for the purchase of seedlings. She knows her business will succeed because the droppings from her piggery will be used as fertilizer in her farm.
