The local brews she makes are waragi and tonto. She prepares spear grass that is mixed with the ripe juice of bananas (mabidde). The juice that comes out is put into jerry cans and sorghum is mixed in. The cans are put in a previously dug hole and covered for a week or two and the end result is tonto. For waragi, the tonto is again put into metal cans and placed on a fire with a tube that connects to two more metal cans from which the boiled tonto moves and is cooled. In a week, Robinah can make and sell 8 jerry cans of tonto and 7 of waragi for wholesale as she also sells it to her daily customers that drink it at her home. Robinah needs a loan to be able to buy more bananas and pay labor for collecting the grass for her local brew business.
