Bashiran Salamat Masih's Group

Bashiran baji is a wife of Salamat Masih. She lives in an area named Walton, in the city of Lahore, Pakistan. She owns a two-room brick house and has been living in it for the last 28 years. She is the mother of one son, Javed. Javed is married and has one son. Bashiran baji's husband has a food business. He has been in this business for the last 10 years. He makes Punjab food (chicken biryani particularly). Bashiran baji sells rice. She buys rice from different shops and sells it in her community. She successfully repaid her three loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is applying for a loan to buy material (spices, cooking oil) to expand to her husband's food business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible for repaying the loan.
